نفر: /nafar/
نَفَر means "people" (when counting). Please bear in mind that مَردُم /mardom/ means "the People" and you should always use a plural verb with it.
مردم این کشور خیلی شادند.
spoken: /mardome in keshvar kheyli shādan./
Translation: This country's people are so happy.
مردم دلشان نمی‌خواهد به یک دیکتاتور رأی بدهند.
spoek: /mardom deleshun nemikhād be ye dictātor ra'y bedan./
Translation: People don't want to vote to a dictator.
In this case,
Let’s consider /Nafar/as a metric to count people.
پنج نفر در این رستوران کار می‌کنند.
Spoken: /panj nafar tu in resturān kar mikonan./
Five people work at this restaurant.
جمعیت تهران ۹ میلیون نفر است.
/jam’iyate Tehran noh miliyon nafare./
Tehran’s population is nine million.
از هر نفر فقط یک سوال می‌توانید بپرسید.
/az har nafar faghat ye soal mitunin beporsin./
You can only ask one question from each person.
آنها را به گروه‌های دو‌نفره تقسیم کردند.
/unā ro be guruhāye do-nafare taghsim kardan./
They grouped them into two-person groups.
با دو نفر مشورت کردم و گفتند بهتر است صبر کنم.
/bā do nafar mashverat kardam o goftan behtare sabr konam./
I consulted two people and they said it’s better that I wait.
من و چند نفر از همکارانم، هر روز بعد از کار به رستوران می‌رویم.
/man o chan nafar az hamkārām, har ruz ba’d az kār be restaurant mirim./
Some of my coworkers and I, go to restaurant after work.
در این خانه چند نفر/چند تا آدم زندگی می‌کنند؟
/tu in khune chan nafar/chan tā ādam zendegi mikonan?/
How many people live in this house?
چند نفر مهمان داری؟
/chan nafar mehmun dāri?/
How many guests do you have?
یک نفر پیتزای من رو دزدیده است!
/ye nafar pitzāye mano dozdide!./
Someone has stolen my Pizza!
Refers to the person as a person: one, person.
آدم خوبی است!
/ādame khubi-ye/
He’s a good person.
این آقا همان کسی است که عاشقشم.
/in aghā hamun kasi-ye ke āsheghesham./
This gentleman is that very person who I love.
کَسی (کَس + ی نکره)
نویسنده ………….. است که می‌نویسد.
/nevisande kasi ye ke minevise./
A writer is someone who writes.
تا حالا کسی را دیده‌ای که بتواند روی آب راه برود؟
Spoken: /tā hālā kasi ro didei ke bethune ruye āb rāh bere?/
Have you ever seen someone that would be able to walk on the water?
تا حالا کسی را ندیده‌ام که بتواند به ده زبان صحبت کند.
/tā hālā kasi ro nadideam bethune be dah zaban sohbat kone./
I haven’t met someone who can speak ten languages so far.
اگر کسی بخواهد قرمه‌سبزی خوب درست کند، باید صبور باشد.
/age kasi bekhād Ghorme-sabzi-ye khub dorost kone, bāyad sabur bāshe./
If someone wants to make a good Ghormesabzi, she should be patient.
with:
چه کسی:who /che kasi/
با چه کسی: with whom/bā che kasi/
In spoken Persian /che kasi/ is converted to /ki/. Therefore, /bā che kasi/ would be /bā ki/.
علی با چه کسی زندگی می‌کند؟
/Ali bā ki zendegi mikone?/
With whom does Ali live?
هیچکس: nobody, no one
1) Iranians prefer to say /hishki/.
2) You should negate the verb.
هیچکس او را دوست ندارد.
/hishki/hichkas uni dust nadāre/.
Nobody loves him.
هیچکس نمی‌داند.
/hichkas nemidune./
Nobody knows.
دیروز رفتم مهمونیِ آتوسا. هیچکس با من حرف نزد.
/diruz raftam mehmuni-ye Atousa. Hishki bāhām harf nazad./
I went to Atousa’s party yesterday. Nobody talked to me.
هیچکس نمی‌دونه شغلش چیست ـ(چی است).
/hishki nemidune shoghlesh chie./
Nobody know’s what his job is.
